To ensure the best result of the program, I understand my child should:

• Attend each class until the end of the program.

• Study according to the instructor’s requirements.

• Finish homework in a timely manner.

• Follow the rules of the classroom.

• Give timely feedback and ask questions when needed.

As parent/guardian, I understand that I should

• Inform the instructor in advance if the student is unable or running late to attend a class.

• Be responsible for my child’s arrival and departure on time.

Tuition

The tuition is due in advance.

Group class: Only when the full tuition of the program is paid in advance, the spot is reserved.

Private class: Only when the full tuition of the class is paid in advanced, the time slot is reserved.

If you fail to pay your child’s tuition in a timely manner, the instructors are free to cancel your class.

Waitlist and Late Registrations

If a class reached the maximum capacity, waitlist is required. The students on the waitlist have the priority to join when an available spot opens up. 

We do allow late registration, and we will prorate tuition for late registration, if the capacity of the class permits.

Cancellation

Group Class is subject to cancellation if there is insufficient registration.

Should a program be cancelled due to insufficient registration, you will be notified prior to the commencement of the program, and you will receive a full refund.

For class cancelled due to the instructor’s reason, all attempts will be made for rescheduling.

Withdrawals

For Group Class,

• Any withdrawal more than 5 business days prior to the start of the first class of the program: full tuition will be refunded.

• Any withdrawal less than 5 business days prior to the start of the first class of the program: $25 administration fee.

• Any withdrawal right after the first class: $25 administration fee on each program and the refund amount will be prorated.

• Once a group program has started the second class, any withdrawal requests must be accompanied by a doctor’s note.

• No refunds will be issued for any group program that is underway after second class, if a doctor’s note is not provided.

For Private Class, 

• full refund or rescheduling will be offered if a writing request is sent 12 hours before the start of the class.

• No refunds will be issued for any private class if the student is NO SHOW and a doctor’s note is not provided.

Attendance

Registering for a program signals the student’s conscious desire to participate in that program, commitment to attend all classes and complete the assigned tasks. If you are unable to attend or are running late, please contact us as soon as possible. Online class, recording class or rescheduling class might be offered to help students to catch up, but it is not always guaranteed, and it is the parents/guardians’ responsibility to ensure the student attend class on time. No make-up time will be offered if the student is late for the class.

Level Restrictions

Any student lower than the grade or level is suggested to take the assessment test. If the student fails to take the assessment test, or the instructor does not suggest the student to go ahead with the program based on the result of the test, however the student insists to register and later wants to withdraw after the program starts, no refunds will be issued.

Liability

ScienceMax Education Ltd. is not responsible for ensuring any student stay in the classroom. It is the parents/guardians’ responsibility to ensure the student’s safety on the way to the door of the classroom. ScienceMax Education Ltd. and the instructors and staffs are not liable for any students outside the classroom, before the students enter or after the students leave the classroom.

The parents/guardians shall be liable for any damages and injuries caused by their child to other persons. The parents/guardians agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify ScienceMax Education Ltd. and its instructors and staffs.

The class materials, recordings, online class links are exclusively accessible to the registered students. Any reproduction, reuse or distribution without the consent of ScienceMax Education Ltd. is prohibited and the violators will be liable to the fullest extent of the law.
